CFP: Edited Volume on Goan Writing in English

Good day!

I am pleased to invite submissions for a proposed edited volume focusing on Goan Writing in English. This collection will bring together scholarly contributions offering critical perspectives on Goa's literature, history, culture, and identity as represented in English-language writing. The goal is to produce an accessible and engaging resource that is valuable to both academic audiences and general readers interested in Goa's literary and cultural landscape. 

Abstracts of 300 words should be submitted by the 15th April, 2025. All submissions will go through a thorough (single/double) blind peer review process. Full chapters (4,000-6,000 words) will be requested upon acceptance.

Dear Ms. Fernandes,

Thank you for sharing this information. If you have not done this already, you may consider looking at Aleixo Manuel da Costa’s “Dicionário de Literatura Goesa” where he lists all Goan authors he could identify in most languages, including English, with their biographies and bibliographies. It is written in Portuguese and published by Fundação Oriente.

I’m a tad confused. In your response to John F, you mention academic writing. However, in submission guidelines Memoir is included. Specifically: Autobiographical and memoir writing by Goan authors. Can I therefore send a Chapter from my Memoir pertaining to Goa (not yet published?)
