PRESS RELEASE

Young Goa Arts and Literature Festival, International Centre Goa, Dona Paula | 13th and 14th February, 2026

Bookworm will be hosting the Young GALF 2026, offering two vibrant days of literary engagement, creative workshops, and interactive experiences for children. Over the last 10 years, Bookworm has been collaborating with the Goa Arts and Literature Festival, The International Centre Goa and Goa Writers to curate Young GALF, with the aim of making literature festivals accessible and engaging for children.

The program will feature author interactions, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, quizzes, and creative engagements. Renowned writers and speakers, including Easterine Kire, Prava Rai, Kanato Chophy, Jerry Pinto, Rakhshanda Jalil, Sandip Roy, Sowmiya Ashok, Ravikant Kisana, Keshava Guha, Vidya Pai, Jonathan Nunn, Suhasini Paul, and Arthy Muthanna Singh will interact directly with children and open up varied topics around the theme of ‘India: Lived, Layered and Evolving’. The afternoons will begin with a literature quiz for everyone to stand a chance to win some prizes.

A highlight of the festival is the Bangalore-based collective Reclaim Constitution, which will run workshops and live screen-printing of preamble sessions across both days, introducing children and the general public to constitutional values through art and dialogue.

Designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for books and ideas, the festival will host over 250 students daily, alongside walk-in participants. Just as in previous years, the festival will include local independent bookstores. Literati, The Dogears and Burrow will be selling books and merchandise on both days.

The Goa Arts and Literature Festival is an annual event that brings together authors, filmmakers and other creatives from around the world. For over a decade, the festival has invited literature enthusiasts, aspiring authors, and everyone to immerse themselves in literature. The festival will be happening at the International Centre Goa, Dona Paula this year.
