Dear writers on Goa,

I encourage you to send in your submissions for the next issue of Muse India by 31 May 2013. The following ad appeared in the Navhind Times of 11 May 2013:

from novels, new writing, cartoons, visual art, interviews, memoirs,
scholarly essays/articles, translations etc. need to reach the editor of this issue at musei...@gmail.com latest by 31 May 2013. Submission guidelines can be viewed on the link 'Submissions' on the homepage at www.museindia.com*

I look forward to receiving your writings on Goa.

Suggestions are welcome.

Hi,

Writing should be in English?  Or Konkani would do?

Please advise.

And should the writing be by Goans or can it also be looking at writing about Goa or references to Goa in fiction?

The whole idea of a stereotype is to simplify. Instead of going through the problem of all this great diversity - that it's this or maybe that - you have just one large statement, it is this. -Chinua Achebe

Would the attached, for example, be suitable? I am not sure whether it conforms with the first of Muse India's submission guidelines and, for obvious reasons, am hesitant to put myself as the author.

Thank you Jeanne.

The article is a bit heavy, I'd say.

Yes. Readings on representations in Goan literature would be appreciated.

Looking forward to your contribution Albertina.

Sorry, I read this mail only just now.

Best wishes,

Brian
