Hi,
Does anyone of know any book launches that may be happening. Iv recently launched my spiritual self help book in Delhi at Enterpreneurs Forum of India and won the Youngest Author for the same. I really want to participate in a launch event in Goa my hometown to bring it to the audience here. Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks and regards
Anjali

Some pointers here, as I understand it:
Book events are normally organised by the authors and/or publishers.
You can get some halls or venues to organise the same, paid or without charge.
Government-run libraries in Goa will offer free halls (or at a nominal charge) for such events. Try Central Library. Ravindra bhavan in Margao has a scheme where they offer their hall at a nominal rate or free for an author's first book. Bookshops might also agree.
Organising the launch is the easy part, but ensuring you have enough interested crowd on the subject of your book is the bigger challenge.
Other wider book events may agree to book launches, but they will choose those books which fit into their wider profile and parameters they themselves lay down.
As such, the Goa-Book-Club focuses on Goa-related books. "We meet to discuss Goa books. Discussions happen online and (less
regularly) in the real world. Post anything related to books from, on,
about Goa and by Goans worldwide. Please avoid off-topic posts, which
may be deleted if wholly irrelevant to this group. Maintain respect
towards other posters."
