Did you know Prof Lucio Rodrigues...

... a prof of English in quite a few prestigious colleges and (if I understand right), also the founder of the English Department at Dhempe's College.

Did anyone on this list know Prof Rodrigues? Any memories of him? Influenced by his work (on Goa's folk song and folk tales)?

Asking because his 100th birth anniversary comes up soon... on April 15. FN

FN, I knew Lucio Rodrigues both in Bombay and in Goa when he contested the Goa elections from Siolim in 1963.

 

I also knew his brother Euseb Rodrigues who died last year in Baltimore, MD.

 

My memory of Lucio has been fictionalised in my fifth novel The Priest and His Karma (2009), set in Goa, Bombay, Montreal and Toronto.

 

What are you doing re his 100th birth anniversary?
