PS: In keeping up with this writerly narcissism, let me add that the photo which shows up throughout in the backdrop was [accidentally] shot by yours truly. And shared on the Wikimedia Commons. Today, one of the few (if not only) Mario photo available in the public domain (some rights reserved). Though that is not acknowledged, I would still support the idea of sharing one's creative work through Creative Commons licenses. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and adds in useful ways to what we know about our work, and can build on.

Yes, CC licenses are indeed free. But many creators view things from an 'opportunity cost' perspective. Meaning, if they share their work, they see it as a loss of revenue or earnings for themselves. This is not how I see it. That was what I meant while writing: "It doesn't cost an arm and a leg...."
