Chapter Two - The Art of Storytelling
Chapter Two of Siyahi’s Writers’ Retreats, hosted at Padmaa, Jaipur from 16 June to 30 June 2025,
is designed to help stories find their voice in a setting where history
and creativity intertwine. Nestled in the vibrant bylanes of Jaipur’s
bustling, colorful streets, Padmaa is a quiet haven that invites deep
contemplation and artistic expression—an inspiring sanctuary where words
take shape and narratives unfold. Led by Aanchal Malhotra and Prem Panicker,
this 14-day writing and editing retreat is a deep exploration of
storytelling techniques—character arcs, world-building, incorporating
research, and finding a unique voice—along with precision editing,
style, pacing, and reinventing clichés. With masterclasses on the
publishing process, personal branding for authors, and crafting the
perfect pitch by industry experts Poulomi Chatterjee, Prateek Agarwal, and Mita Kapur,
participants will refine their craft, strengthen their manuscripts, and
immerse themselves in the creative energy of Padmaa, where every corner
whispers a story waiting to be told.
