In these accounts, the author is neither the hero nor the central character; he is simply the chronicler, recounting experiences lived in what were then the Portuguese colonies, as well as in the so-called metropolis. The book offers a collection of delightful and humorous stories about what the Portuguese Empire was.

A well-written book that provides the reader with satisfaction, sensitivity, and knowledge, with a foreword by João Soares.
