Is go-uik still alive? I tried to use it the other day and I could not "go get" it. Then I noticed the unaddressed issues...

Work is a bit stalled - I have a *lot* going on between writing my dissertation, trying to earn some money and buying a house.

I made it compile in a branch called "messedup", but I'm not sure why it's not working. I don't really understand the changes to truetype and freetype.

Actually fixed the freetype-go issues. Check my pull request.
