When I add new go-agents they appear in the Go Server UI as unknown-host-xxx (xxx being some number). This did not happen with the first agent added, but does with subsequent agents, even one that is running on the same machine as the server. Anyone know how I can resolve this? Searches for information about it return mostly items concerning connection errors. I couldn't find anything dealing with this specific problem,

Thanks.

Mark.

This happens when the hostname of the agent is invalid. See this -> https://github.com/gocd/gocd/issues/19

Thanks Arika.

My problem was slightly different. The hostname was valid, but there was an inconsistency between the hostname and configured hostname and the /etc/hosts file. Your post still helped me along the right track though. Thanks for that.

Mark.
