Hi All,

A Go agent was installed into a windows machine. Then, the Go server IP address was set after the agent had been installed.  Despite of the agent being recognized by the server, the agent status was as Missing. Until the server URL is set at the agent's agent.cmd file and restarting the agent, the server can completely recognize the agent.

This action got me to wonder that there might be a file (different than agent.com) that sets the server URL but doesn't pick up completely.

I want to know which files Go Server is picking from a windows agent?

Hi Darly,

When the agent is installed on a windows machine, it sets up the GO_SERVER environment variable if provided (default is localhost/127.0.0.1). If you want to change it at a later point you can do so by changing this system environment variable appropriately.

Go looks at the wrapper-agent.conf file (in case of windows agent, it's located at <agent-installation-directory>/config), and picks up the values from it. This file is set to read GO_SERVER environment variable as shown here.

If you want to override the default properties, you can do so by creating a wrapper-properties.conf file.

Regards,
Ali

Something got missing into the wrapper-properties.conf settings. I was setting the at the conf directory (for the GO_SERVER) as mentioned in the instruction [I set on wrapper.app.parameter.2 variable - Since this is the server IP address]. However, while running the agent, I realized that the application is pointing to the agent's localhost instead to the server.

Please point it out if I made a mistake.
-Thanks
