Hi all,

I'm wondering how I would go about resetting a user's forgotten password via go.  I am using file-based authentication.  Is there a way to update the password using the go interface, or do I need to get down and change the password file directly?

Thanks,

Nate

No, Go doesn't provide any way to manage authentication directly. I've asked people to run htpasswd and send me the output before:

$ htpasswd -c -s /dev/tty user1
New password:
Re-type new password:
Adding password for user user1
user1:{SHA}qZk+NkcGgWq6PiVxeFDCbJzQ2J0=

That last line is what you'll need.

Cheers,
Aravind
