From BostonBruins.com:
Dean Letourneau recorded a three-point weekend in No. 15 ranked Boston College’s two-win weekend over No. 17 UMass.

The 6-foot-7, 218-pound forward posted a goal and an assist in Friday’s 7-3 victory, before recording an assist in Saturday’s 4-0 win.

Letourneau ranks tied for second on the team with four goals and third on the team with 9 points through 11 games.

I would love to have my previous Dean comments be proven wrong.  I am going to a BC game next week and will report back :)

Thank you! I look forward to your update.

I'm being proven wrong because the Bruins are scoring. I did not expect them to be in the Top 15 teams for Goales Scored.

They just need to clean up their play in the defensive zone.

As promised I did go to the BC-ND game and I have a report.

Dean is definitely doing better than last year. Had a 2 point game and looked confident with the puck. Thats the good news

The bad news is that it seems like he still hasn’t fully figured out how to use his body. Multiple examples of him being pushed off/away from the puck.  He got a lot of attention from the ND team and jawed at them in response but not as much in an aggressive way, more of a “wtf is your problem dude?” way, if you know what I mean.

The great news is Hagens.  This kid is legit good.  Hat trick and seems to have a great nose for positioning himself and attacking the puck.

So, I tentatively take back my Dean disparagement.  Let’s be hopeful!

M

PS Dean did show some trash talk tendencies. After the final whistle he skated back towards the BC end and waved goodbye to the ND bench, multiple times.  I was wondering if there might be a little action in the postgame handshake but all behaved.

Marty,

Thank you for the update, and I'm glad that you got to see a good game.

They are all still a work in progress. But, I'm glad that Dean and Hagens are showing continued improvement.

Any thoughts on Will Moore? He's only a freshman, but I did see that he had a blocked shot.

He's more of a two-way fed, but I'm curious as to how he looked.

Hope springs eternal in the human breast...

There were a lot of blocked shots but I have to be honest I don't remember Moore's sticking out.
