Taking a shower

There are any meanings of celebration when in Chinese shower before the wedding, but definitely it is not a 20-mintes bath you usually do. The water which used in this process contains the smell of pomelo or fragrant of flowers and plants like bamboo, pine and Artemisia that will wash way the evil spirits when the bride finishes it. It means luck, longevity and prosperity, besides those spiritual effects, it is also good for the smooth and refresh your skin which is the effect women hope.

Combing hair
Combing bride’s hair is second step. Some of Chinese also wear the traditional red tops and bottoms, and then eat three delicious dumplings which have three means, one is love; other is more sons and blessing; the final one is happiness. People who help combing bride’s hair are called women rich of good fortune and have happy life. They may be aunt, friend or any members of the family. When she doing it, she will say something blessing, it is an etiquette which allegedly brings happiness, wealth and more children.

There is more “cry”, there is better
When brides get married, they usually leave their family and hometown forever long time ago. So brides will be crying for three days or sing songs with friends and family before the wedding ceremony which will help reduce somehow fear to prepare for leaving home.
