I am looking for a Zilog Z80 version of the GNU compiler.
I would like to use it as a crosscompiler so I can develop C programs
for a selfmade Z80 simple computer comfortably. I don't need any
libraries because I am planning to write my own (very very) little
OS for this computer. (It will be used to steer an astronomic
telescope.)

Does anybody know if such a compiler (and assembler of course) already
exists or if it is much work to create one?

Thank you very much,

You might be better off looking at http://www.z88dk.org/

FWIW, I know that there are Forth implementations for the Z80, and Forth
was written for steering telescopes.

Sorry - that's not really a GCC / C answer.
