I am running mac os high sierra 10.13.3 and I want to install windows 7 and dual boot my MacBook, I have successfully created a bootable window 7 USB drive with Bootcamp 5 driver on the pen drive, When I start installing windows 7 boot camp show me this message ( Need 64-bit Windows installation USB drive or DVD.)
This problem is happening because windows can't recognize the partition with high sierra on it.
When Apple updated to the new os, they switched to a new file system called APFS.
Unfortunately windows can't recognize a partition with this file system on it. For now you'll have to switch by holding down the option key at startup and selecting the os you want from there.
You can still select windows from the startup disk options in system preferences from mac os, but you'll have to use the hold option method to move back to mac from the windows side.

i just put a new hd on my Imac 2012 and upgrade my ram, now the system is showing me a file with a question mark, i have tried getting the system online but it takes hours and disconnect on last minute, I downloaded a high sierra-dmg to do a bootable usb but it wont read on my mac, I struggle to change the usb from MRB to GPT. Technicians are very expensive here in South Africa and tend to be useless with apple products. can anyone please help.
Now i am downloading file,trying to install it.I hope i will work,bcs i am tired of searching internet how to create bootable macos.to be honest i dont like macos.my boss told me to do this.i cant explain him to use windows 10 instead of this macshit ?
I booted from USB and got 2 icon on 1)efi boot and 2) install mc high sierra. When i click the 2nd icon i saw apple logo and bar running. Unfortunately after completing the bar only white screen appears.
For 1 icon efi boot, when i enter to install mchighsierra, apple logo appears and 3 beeps sound ringing non stop. What have i done wrong. Appreciate your assistance.
FYI i had replaced a new hard drive in my imac

How long does it usually take to finish? (my screen is now showing the silver apple logo with white background screen)
