ld problem building microblaze cross compiler

The build seems ok but when I try to run I get:
>microblaze-elf-gcc hello.c
/usr/local/microblaze-elf/lib/gcc/microblaze-elf/4.6.2/../../../../
microblaze-elf/bin/ld: cannot find -lxil
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Any help appreciated.
