Has anybody succeeded in altering the rounding behaviour of the FPU?
Using fesetround and fegetround? What do those functions return?
The man pages are confusing.

Yes.

The set funnction returns 0 for success. The get function returns the
rounding mode, i.e. the rounding bits in the control word.
