binutils 2.8.1 patch release now available

The binutils 2.8.1 patch release is now available on prep.ai.mit.edu
as binutils-2.8.1.tar.gz (5139402 bytes).

Diffs from the binutils 2.8 release are available as
binutils-2.8-2.8.1-patch.gz (37762 bytes).

This is a patch release to fix a few bugs in the binutils 2.8 release.

I believe the only serious bug was that the ix86 assembler mishandled
some PentiumPRO instructions. The only new feature is that the ix86
assembler now supports the MMX instructions. If you are using the 2.8
release successfully on a non-ix86 system, there is no urgent need to
upgrade.

Thanks to everybody who reported bugs and contributed patches for the
2.8 release.
