Hello,
I'm using Teraterm (a Windows Terminal emulation which supports
vt300 - http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002416/teraterm.html) and
like to run emacs on a remote Linux-Box. The only problem is that
I don't get Emacs to display any colors (vim does and files and directories
are colored too). I'm not that emacs-guru but I like him, so please help.

Thanks in advance

Emacs does not support colors on a tty. XEmacs does this. The next
version of Emacs will also do this, but that will be some more months.

GNU Emacs does not currently display colors on a terminal. You can
either:

1) wait for Emacs 21
2) use Xemacs (http://www.xemacs.org)
