Upgrading clients to 3.4.0 while server is CFEngine Core 3.3.0

Upgrading clients to 3.4.0 I was wondering if anyone ran into the same issues I have been dealing with. When I bootstrap my promises file does not update correctly. I added the old promises but it failed. Not sure how to proceed. I don't want to upgrade the hub first.
