open for screen output

Hi;

I want to print to the screen for debugging but Plato tells me I haven't opened it.

PRINT *, var

I am unfamiliar with Plato, but if you run the program from the command prompt in Windows or the equivalent on Unix, the output will appear in the console. I usually compile and run from a "shell buffer" within Emacs or Epsilon (an Emacs clone for Windows).
