Hi,

This is a fabulous app!
Has anyone come up with a way of making a new note appear in your
inbox in Gmail?

I use Gnote sometimes to make a voice note when I'm in a hurry, and I
need to add it to a todo list later. If it showed up in my inbox as
well as in 'notes' that would be great.

I've tried to do this within Gmail using filters, but haven't found a
way yet.

Hi,
Maybe you can try to create a filter that is sent from yourself?

HI,
OK - neat idea :now I can get a filter to apply to my Gnotes (at least
when I click "test this filter" it returns the notes), next step is to
use the filter to forward the message to a pop account that is checked
by my GMail already.
Now when I add a note, it ought to get forwarded to the pop account &
re-appear (as a copy) in the inbox, marked un-read. Not the neatest,
but good enough.
Only it doesn't work.
Are you sure that posting to a 'folder' via IMAP actually triggers the
filter?
Thanks,
James

Hi,
GNotes append the note to the folder "Notes" but not "Inbox". The filter only add label but not move mails to Inbox.

I too am searching for a way to do this.  Have you found any way yet?

One solution I found was to use IFTTT. It is a web service where you can track events at various web services without manual intervention. In the case created a "recipe" where every time I get a new Gnote with label "Notes", the IFTTT sends an email to myself, which obviously goes to the inbox. If you want to use the recipe just access it at: https://ifttt.com/recipes/149556-send-gnotes-to-inbox-gmail. This service is free and reliable, because now I use a long time to send feed (feedly) to my gmail.
