GNotes has recently become my default note program on my phone; well done and thank you.
Previously I used Evernote and it was just getting bogged down in feature-creep. I like that this is simple and fast.
Have had a couple issues / suggestions if someone can help:
First thing is when viewing a note, phone numbers and URLs are underlined. But I cannot do anything with them (i.e. link), or I don't know how. Doesn't seem to be much use in underlining unless they become some kind of link. Am I doing something wrong?
Second, when I logged onto
www.gnotes.com, it asked for my email and password. I used the email that is associated with my phone account, but it said no such user name existed, so I had to sign up. Shouldn't I have already been signed up?
Next, a couple suggestions and comments on others' suggestions:
Although I do not want this program to lose it's simplicity, it would be kind of nice to have rich text (italics, font, size, underline, etc). If it already does this, can someone tell me how?
Regarding the idea of notes having alarms and recurring options, seems interesting, but currently I just put things on my calendar for such needs. I have not looked up 3rd party calendar programs, but I am guessing there are a bunch of them out there which may work better than the default ones that come on the phone, and one could utilize them for such events.
Regarding the sync-to-drafts, this also seems like a potentially good plan. I was thinking that, alternatively, maybe every time you edit a note, rather than delete the old one from the notes folder and add the new one, why not 'respond' to the original, and thus keep a running 'conversation' with yourself which would allow one to reference previously deleted notes? Perhaps make it optional in the settings). Of course you would then need a way to determine when an edit was "finished", so you could save only "completed edits".
