I asked uau to take a look at this thread. He responds:

all demuxers
<uau> i don't think older versions guaranteed "first character uppercase"

i wonder how handing different case could require "changes larger than I
initially though" as claimed in that bug report

I'm reworking the parser to work with case inspecific regular expressions.
I have a little of it done, but still have to complete the change.
