Why isn't Do listed in Gnome Projects?

Do to be integrated with the Gnome Desktop?

Basically as Alex said, GNOME Do is not officially part of GNOME. I
don't see that changing anytime soon either.

Want about the ubuntu? Is the any effort being made to have Do
integrated with ubuntu? Do they have any crazy requirements before
they will even consider it?

I've talked to all the necessary people, and it seems that people are
receptive to having Do in Ubuntu if we want to push for it.

Again, I for one am not interested in Do in Ubuntu by default --
Unless we could do a huge amount of QA, a 1.0 release, a getting
started guide, etc. As it stands, Do is not sufficiently "for human
beings."

Docky's getting pulled from Do? How/when did I miss that memo?
Personally I find it good news since for the way I work in Ubuntu
leaves Docky replicating too much of how I use AWN. If someone could
post a link to the announcement I'd like to share it on my blog for
those who also missed the info.

We keep all of our secrets on IRC. All of the various UIs are in
their own library. Removing Docky is just a matter of removing that
library. If you like docky, start testing and reporting bugs on

No blueprint needed. Its quite simple to pull out.

Yes, we decided this all on IRC. There have been random hintings at
it on the mailing list (I think) and in bug reports but nothing really
'official'.

Docky and Do are being totally split. To start with Docky2 will be
*just a dock*. We are aiming to get some form of integration with Do,
but I dont know if the first beta release will have that. They will
interoperate over dbus, at some point.

Launching applications is not directly tied into the Docky theme.
That works with any theme and will continue to work.

All of the current themes (other than Docky) are centered, so yes.
Feel free to write a new theme that isnt! Just dont make that theme
an actual dock. ;-)

Sorry, I meant Docky, not Do.
