A personal feud has made my decision easy.  I'm going with Gnocl, offered in addition to Tk, putting Gtk+ 2 in the same LTR category as Tk, as an X11 toolkit.  Thank you so much for your continued labors, today I join in on the fun :)

I'll tell you what.  Hold off for the moment.  My project for today is to try to bootstrap a multi-build system based on ODIE by hynotoad.  Getting Gnocl built is like, the perfect initial excuse.
