First manga club event

Carl,

Usual issues about not getting into the GNL group - (I could try from
home
if I could remember my log ins I guess!) but I thought the group might
be
interested in my first manga club event!

It was a bit of a riot...! There were six hard core manga and anime
fans
and one 'guest' dragged along by her friend and who left with the
first
two volumes of Bleach and instructions (by said friend) on how to read
it!

They shared favourite manga, manga characters, manga sites, anime
sites,
drawings (two of them brought folders of work) and basically talked
non-stop till they had to be thrown out so I could close up! It was
particularly nice to see the three new year nines chatting with the
older
year tens and finding common ground.

All in all, very well worth while doing and I'm looking forward to
next
week, when we'll look at honorifics and etiquette as well as more of
the
above!
