Hey, book-clubbers!
Fred, who's willing to open up his new place to us, will be facilitating the discussion for last month's book (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Foer). It was quite a read, as I've also heard some of you say. Hopefully, we can share some insights with each other pronto.
Fred ~ please let ppl know where/when to meet, preferably by June 15th latest.
This month's selection is:
Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini)
If I could write a intro caption for this book, it'd be: "Do you want to love Jesus more?"
I'm pretty sure you've read it/watched the movie/heard of it at some point. It's quite the page-turner! (1 of 2 books in my life that I've actually read in one sitting.) Try to read it with a Christocentric lens; one of the characters personify Jesus in such a vivid way that you can't help but fall in love with Christ more through this book.
Thanks, everyone!
(And hope you're doing well out there in Cali, James!)
