Subject: DC Kitchen - Volunteer cooking service next Saturday, Nov 16th at 8.00am
To:
Every Year NSID does a volunteer service with parents and middle and High school students to cook in DC Kitchen during Thanks Giving time to say Thanks for all that God has given us in this life. I just got a call today to remind that this coming Saturday, Nov 16th at 8.00amwas our NSID turn to cook for the homeless in DC central kitchen. Last Annual Day we had collected $3000+ and donated to HACSI
I thought it will be great way of saying Thanks during this time to help me heal. My mom has cooked and served several people for past 50 years. It will be the best way to pay homage for her Atma.
NSID Annual service Day to the Community. NSID had participated in cooking at the DC kitchen for the past 10 years, as a Thanks Giving for what GOD has bestowed on us. We usually do this around the Thanks Giving time each year. Please sign in those who are interested in helping out in cooking for the homeless. Middle school and High school students and their brothers earn service hours. So please bring in your SSL forms and get it signed there by the Manager.
http://www.hacsiusa.org/about_us.htm(1) Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
(2) Dress code required: Long pants / closed toed shoes (no sandals) prefer sneakers.
(3) DC Kitchen provides hair nets, gloves, and aprons.
(4) Bring some thing to eat during break time or sign up for breakfast so that all of us can share during our 10 min break time.
I need minimum 30 people to cook. Mentors can you check with your group how many students and their friends and parents are interested in cooking. Students get SSL hours. Pls bring your forms to get it signed. I know it is a very short notice but hope you all can sacrifice a weekend to serve the needy. I need to inform the organization by Sunday Night hence pls let me know if 30 people can join me in cooking this coming weekend.
