வணக்கம்,

I am extremely happy to inform about the success of the event "DEEPAAVALHI FOR ALL" conducted by our friends at திருச்சி. I have attached a spreadsheet about the details of the event. Please have a look at it. There are 5 separate sheets in the document.

As far as the event is concerned... It was the idea of Ram Prasath. He coined the name "DEEPAAVALHI FOR ALL.". He gave the all necessary impetus for the event. He made the ball moving! ( I was really down due to the ..... ah, LATE or slow beginning of the RCC things at Chennai). " [Thanks, Secretary Sir!]"

Secondly, I like to thank & appreciate Mr.S.Saravanan, our coordinator of the Coimbatore Circle.  He was very enthusiastic about the event and volunteered to collect funds for the event. Also, we cant afford not to mention the efforts of S.Shenbaga Seeraalhan, Our volunteer from Dindigul. Others include Naresh Chandran, Hari & Friends.

Thirdly, I want to Thank the efforts of Mr.Saravanan, a visually challenged person who is working with another NGO at Pondicherry. He was happy to join the event with his team and make it a grand success.

Next, I wish to Thank Mr.S.Naveen, who works at a college in Thuraiyur,  Mr.P.Thennarasu & Mr.Nelson Mandela who are at an industry in Coimbatore, who joined the event & contributed much towards the success of the event. I would also like to Thank Mr.P.Vellai Sami, who was unable to join but was very much eager in the success of the event like everyone else only if not more.

It would be a crime if I did not mention about the help of Mr.Paramasivam a teacher at a government against the odds of being a visually challenged person. Mr.Kaalai Saami, who also is a visually challenged person and a friend of Mr.Paramasivam helped us to contact the school authorities and was instrumental in the success of the event. Men like them are hard to come by. They really are great role models for people like us, who want to do something but still are hesitant to take the steps. They stand against their physical challenges and walk tall in the society. Moreover they are instrumental in creating happiness all around them.

(I dont know if I can thank him or not... I mean will that suffice? For, he was the BACK BONE behind the event.)
 Anyway Here it goes...
Lastly, I wish to thank and appreciate the works of Mr.M.Soban Babu, a Chartered Accountant (Add a BAR) who works at Thiruchchirapalhlhi. Regardless of his busy schedules and the demanding nature of his job he shuttled to and fro between Dindigul & Thiruchchirapalhlhi to make the event a grand success. I should also appreciate him for single-handedly delivering the crackers at the school of 95+ students... By no means can I completely say about his part in the event. (For heaven sake, I was not at all there in the event... & I am supposed to say all these... :-) )

Photos and a more detailed report on the event will be posted either by Soban or by me ASAP.

I Hope it is time for us to stand together with our friends at Thiruchchirapalhlhi... & contribute our part in our strive towards a better world... We have the following works at hand. Please, propose a plan or your views about the same.

1) Teaching of the Kids.
2) Cleaning of the Beach.
3) Rape Crisis Centre, (Which we very much started with a vigour & left aloof with the passage of time.)
4) Competitions at schools... etc.

Anyway let us take this opportunity to appreciate our friends & start doing our part from this.
Looking forward to a (more) Active Gnana Deepam.

With regards,
Angarayan.
