Greater Miami Youth Symphony and Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach County

On March 21st, the Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach County and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony put on an extraordinary show with over 300 students participating. Three orchestras from each organization totaling six orchestras performed on stage at the FIU Wertheim Performing Arts Center in Miami.  The concert was also covered in both the Palm Beach Post and the Miami Herald!  Students met to rehearse together only hours before the concert.  The program included Bugler's Holiday, Monti Csardas, Finlandia, Satchmo- a Tribute to Louis Armstrong, and Dvorak's New World Symphony. GMYS would like to thank the Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach County for partnering with us and putting on such a great show. We look forward to next year's collaboration. Thank you to all the parents for helping to make this event possible.

WE NEED YOUR INPUT!
Dear Parents and GMYS Supporters,

Please get involved and make your voice heard at the events below.
Decisions made during this planning process will determine the investment
strategy of upcoming years for The Childrens Trust.  We always want to
make sure the arts are a priority in our local funding organizations.  It is critical that
The Childrens Trust hear from PARENTS of ARTS STUDENTS during this
process.  Thank you so much.  Please get involved.  This is your chance to
impact future funding for arts education.
