Facing error "complete:13: command not found: compdef"

I hope you're doing well.

I am currently encountering an issue with gmx_MMPBSA on my MacBook Air (macOS Sequoia 15.4.1). Until recently, it was running smoothly, but now when I activate the environment using conda activate gmxMMPBSA, I receive the following error:

complete:13: command not found: compdef

This behavior is new, and I’m unsure what might have caused the change. I would really appreciate it if anyone could share insights or suggest possible solutions.

According to this, this, and this thread, this is related to autocomplete in zsh on macOS, not to gmx_MMPBSA
