Dear sisters and brothers,

This Sunday marks the launch of SEEDS: A New Worship Experience. The service is inspired by the parables of seeds that Jesus uses. Mustard seeds. Seeds of fertile soil. The farmer who plants while God gives growth in the night. It is also inspired by the Mexican proverb The tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds.

This new service is a seed of new ministries developing on the Northwest Side of Milwaukee. It is sown by a shared vision of All Peoples and Florist Ave Lutheran Church. It is watered by the support of synod staff and dedicated lay leaders.

Please, continue to pray for this new endeavor. Include us in your prayers of the people and among your prayer chains.

We also invite you to join us. Before the worship service there is an open mic time. On Sunday, Feb 8 we are excited to have Brit Nicole feature during the open mic. On Feb 15, KJ Prodigy will join us. We also have Kwabena Nixon lined up in the future. The service will include elements of praise, gospel and hip hop music, under the musical direction of David Nunley.

We hope to see you this Sunday or at a Sunday in the future. Come by yourself or with a friend. Bring your small group, your Bible study group, your confirmation class or your church council. Come witness the power of a seed.

Peace, Pastor Steve
