Hey all!

The Greater Milwaukee Synod Young Adult Mission Trip has been providing a great opportunity for young adults (ages 18-25) from our congregations to travel and serve together each January since 2006.  I can speak for those of us who have traveled with these young adults and say that it is one of the most rewarding mission trips I've been a part of in my ministry career!

Our 2014 trip is quickly approaching, January 1-10, 2014.  We are in need of a couple of more drivers to help with the trip.  We leave in the early evening on the 1st and drive through the night, arriving in New Orleans around mid-afternoon.  On the way home we stop and stay the night at a church in the St. Louis area.  We travel in 15 passenger vans and mini vans.

While in New Orleans, we're working with St. Bernard Project, rehabbing homes that were damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Isaac, and also homes that have dealt with things like contractor fraud, Chinese drywall and other construction setbacks.  It's a joy to help someone reclaim their home that they have been trying to get back into for years!

If you would be interested in joining us on the journey this year, we'd love to have the help!  The cost of the trip is $325, and we can get you more information if you are interested.

Please feel free to e-mail us any questions you might have to gmsyoung...@gmail.com!  Thanks in advance!
