I'm not a spammer, so hopefully this message will get approved real
fast. I noticed that the GMP engine has not been updated in a long
time (2009? Really?) and that it is pretty much the last standing open
source DOM JavaScript game engine on the web. This is unfortunate, but
not inevitable. A lot of smaller "experiments" have taken off into
larger things, if not open source, such as the effectgames.com or the
Aves engine (funny story- Effect was bought out by Dextrose was bought
out by Zynga was bought out by Google). So, I think either there will
be something bigger (WebGL) or JavaScript games are dying. I don't
know where I'm going with this. Just wanted to let you know I'm here.
We all love browser games. I'm trying to more or less rip off stuff
that guys like you have done. Hope to hear back soon.

Hey Keanen,

GMP is still active, even if there is not much activity on this
discussion group. Most game devs don't post/join the group, they email
me directly. I'd be more than happy if everyone joined the group!

BTW, the engine will be getting a minor update to version 1.7.4 in the
next few weeks - it's ready, I'm just sitting on the fence about
including/excluding a few small features.

If there are features you'd like to see in the engine, by all means,
request them here in the group!
