Until recently I've had a perfectly working installation of Gmote Server on Win 7. Today it stopped opening so I cannot connect from the remote client on my android phone.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Java and Gmote server but I get the same problem.

If I run Gmote server it gives me the welcome message and when I click OK it prompts me for a new password but that window closes itself before I get a chance to enter anything and the icon shows in the systray for a second and then disappears.

Error log shows the following;

#
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
#  EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6df51748, pid=1276, tid=7620
#
# JRE version: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (7.0_45-b18) (build 1.7.0_45-b18)
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (24.45-b08 mixed mode, sharing windows-x86 )
# Problematic frame:
# C  [libvlc.dll+0x1748]
#

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Nothing so far. I've uninstalled both Gmote Server and java repeatedly. Going to try reinstalling VLC as well to see whether that changes things up. Very frustrating!

OK, uninstalled, Gmote Server, Java and VLC. Reinstalled Java first, then VLC then Gmote Server.
No luck.
Running runServerDebugMode, Gmote Server starts, shows icon in systray and welcome message. When I click OK, it stops. No request for password this time.

Frustrating as this has worked for over a year with no issue.

Most recent log attached.

Any ideas what might be causing this

Got the same error.
Was working before.
My server is 2.0.2 and application on mobiles is 2.0.7...
Trying to get a 2.0.7 server, but hard time to find an installable package.

Does the server 2.0.7 available somewhere ?
