It’s ENTERTAINING.  Our producer, Martin Sheen (yes, “President Bartlet”) explains, “Vigilantes Inc., follows the heroic investigative reporter Greg Palast as he uncovers a group of 40,000 MAGA volunteers whose efforts have already challenged the voting rights of 851,000 eligible voters, with a goal of 2 million by November 5th.” Palast catches these vigilantes on camera, including one dressed like Doc Holliday—with his loaded 6-shooter—who blocked the vote of 4,000 Americans, most of them Black soldiers, including MAJ Gamaliel Turner. Palast and the Major confront the vote rustlers in scenes humorous, weird and dangerous. The Mt. Sinai African Methodist Episcopal Church in North Carolina is one of many churches and groups asking to hold screenings in communities targeted by these vigilante creeps.  Rev. This film was very disturbing. I hope to distribute it on Facebook.

 

We’re still fighting the Civil War, and I fear it will come to a head around election day. We really are at a turning point here in the US, and the entire world will feel the impact of whatever happens. It’s raising my own stress levels near the breaking point.

 

The racism described in this film is only part of the cabal that’s attacking our democracy. The racism is being harnessed by the other forces that are clamoring for power: Christian nationalists and big money. And to me it all boils down to big money’s influence over the vote.

 

After the recorded call from the former president, and his latest abandoning Robinson (and thereby insulting TFG), I was surprised to learn about Kemp’s past. He’s a perfect example of the intersection between racism and big money.

 

Could it be time for Dems to use the same strategies, and report large numbers of Republican voters, the week before Nov 5?
