AllSome points I noted:1.CG has invested in current assets [what assets/fixed/current?]Need more explanation/research:CG is have cash surplus, and may be going to invest in assets[need to check annual report again]vis a visTI, using debt to fund OPEX2.Add Days Payables Outstanding in the ppt -> Liquidity RatioTI is able to get their money in 45 days, but pay back in 90 days?Good or bad?- Payment policies (not clear)Inference:TI may be using this borrowed mobey for their day to day OPEXAny other?3.Inventory holdings of TI is high w.r.t CG.Can we realte it to payables(high for TI)4.TI’s sundry debtors turnover ratio is better, which could be due to more transactional nature of end users/consumers. CG’s customers are large corporates/Govt bodies for infrastructureRelated to collection period. TI has better collection period.5.Days inventory holding is high for TI because CG stocks against pre orders as compared with consumer driven TI.Can be moved to slide 2, where TO are discussed.Next steps:1. I'll send ver2 of ppt with minor changes by EOD today.2. All need to go through ver 1, and ask questions on inferences, note questions, find answers.3. Need to finalize 3 presenters for Friday.Next call is on Wednesday 7 PM - 8 PM on Skype. As we will have limited time, we should have all our questions ready before the call. If possible, pls send the questions to this group, so that they get answered before hand itself. Any comments/suggestions on ppt are welcome.Hopefully, we freeze everything on Wednesday, and it doesn't go to Thursday.RegardsGurpreetOn Mon, Jan 28, 2013 at 10:21 PM, Subrat Sahu <sahu_...@yahoo.com> wrote:

TeamPFA the 3 docs:1. FinAccounting_CromptonGreaves_TII_Analysis_v1.0.xlsx -> Is the main template used to power up the ppt analysis.2. FinAccounting_CromptonGreaves_TII_Analysis_v1.0.pptx -> WIP ppt version 1.0, which we will use for presentation.3. Rahul_CG_TI_For_Analysis_&_Questions_Only.xls -> This xls is similar to the FinAccounting_CromptonGreaves_TII_Analysis_v1.0, but has go some more questions, which we should all look into.PPT : I have merged, my, Robins and Deepak's separate slides.Next steps:1. I'll try to complete the ppt with pending B/S, P/L and CF tables for CG and TI. -> 1/282. All need to review the xls(which is mostly fine) and ppt [may need some changes, as I didn't think much while merging things.]3. We all should keep our questions ready before the next call.4. Google around, and search more. [Some one was planning to send financial analysis of CG vs ABB, need to check that too.]5. As we decided, there will be three presenters, so need to finalize those. But entire team will be available to answer any doubts to ma'am or other students.Next sync up:Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7PM IST via skype. We will use join.me to share screens.See you tomorrow.RegardsGurpreet

Hi ,
We reviewed Foil 15 and 16 and these foils have been updated
Thanks,
Padmesh
Wat abt others. Robin is travelling to blr at 4:30.. Will 1pm work..?. We need to close down today. Lets talk for 15 mins or so... For me both times will work...
I cannot make it. I shall join the 7PM call
Hi,
I might not be able to join during office hrs ..I can join in evening 7 PM. I have re-scheduled my evening commitments and will be able to stay for long hrs in evening, if there is a demand.
Regards,
Ok, lets have a call at 7, and robin can join around 8, once he reaches the hostel.Somethings that are still open ended. Lets close over email asap.1. Who will present? My view:Divide ppt to 3 parts:1. Introduction and review objective (2-3 mins) -> Presenter 12. Summary of P/L, some points, review liquidity and TO ratios (3-4 mins) -> Presenter 23. Leverage and profitability ratios and final analysis (5-7 mins) -> Presenter 34. QA -> All of usDue to need of time, I'm taking a tough step and proposing some names, and we need to finalize in next 2 hours or so.Presenter 1: Gurpreet/ Archana -> Will take just going thru the slides and some reasoning on why we chose what we chose.Presenter 2: Satya/Manohar/Padmesh/Krishnamma -> Heat will start a lil bit, as we talk about P/L, ratios, and some inferences... -> This should read annual report by heart.
Presenter 3: Deepak/Robin/Subrat/Rahul -> These are key ppl, expect a lot of interruptions here from others.
I can join from 12 to 12:30. Can't do in the eve.
I am okay for 8-9pm .
Regards
Krishnamma
