What holds the door window in the door? I have window with a screen it to
replace the original window and we will tackle that task tomorrow. I figure

Len,
Remove the plastic trim from around the window, corners unscrew and straights
will slide out, then you will see the aluminium extrusion that the straights
slid into unscrew all 4 of them (have some body support the glass and frame
on the outside. Pushing on the frame/glass the window may come out easily or
otherwise you will have to prise the frame from the body to break the seal.
you will find a couple of spacers under the window frame you may need to put
them back on your replacement window test first.

Hi there from El Paso
We replaced the door window and it is a piece of cake to do. If you look
inside the door you will find a string of small screws that secure an
interior ring that secures the window to the door. Once you remove the
screws the window will come right out after you gently release the caulking
to the door . We used a permatex caulk glue on the window frame and secured
the window with a two by four at the top of door and one at the bottom. We
use sqeeze clamps to pull window into door and then just set the interior
ring and screws. Take your time and it is a real easy project
