Larry,

They are in Canada; I bought a case a couple of weeks ago.

For some reason the links are not showing. Billy had to send the links to me by email. Anyone else experiencing that?

Larry,

Let me know if you get these links.

Here's a link to the Dura Cool home page:

http://www.duracool.com/

Here's a link to the Frosty Cool home page:

http://frostycool.com/

I'll leave it up to find your way from these points; go for your lives!

I have run Dura Cool and Frosty Cool in Double Trouble and could not detect any difference in the performance of the dash a/c.

I also have it in my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it works fine.

Yup, I see the links you just posted, but still do not see the links that Billy posted. No matter, Billy was nice enough to send them by email to me.

Do you mix the coolants or completely evacuate and refill?

Larry,

When I spoke to their customer support I was told it's the same formulation as Dura Cool so I ASSUME you can mix it, however, I'd
give them a call to be sure.

I think he is asking if you can mix refrigerant types (R-12, r-134, Duracool/ Frostycool)
rather than brands of the same type. I could be wrong.

I'm curious if folks simply use this to top the system off - which mixes it
with unknown contents - or evacuate the system entirely and refill?

Will, Yes. If your system is still using R-12, Dura-cool has been
successfully just added into the system (at the correct pressure for
Dura-cool ). The lubricants are compatible.
And, No, if your system has been converted to HC-134. The oil for 134
is not compatible with Dura-cool. The system needs to be evacuated, and
leak checked, probably should do a total flushout, and replace the
receiver/ desiccant dryer. Then, vacuum the system to remove all traces of
moisture, and recharge with about 2 1/2 cans of Dura-cool, and the
appropriate oil.

Truck and Vette are R-12. I have been topping up with Duracool for several years with no problems. Duracool is cheap enough that I don't worry about
finding the leaks.
