I was roaming around Bethune's listing of used GMCs and came to this one:
http://www.bethunesales.com/listings/keller.html

Does anyone know what happened to his plans? Did he get tired of it or hit
a wall or what?

Just curious...
Thanks

Gee, 'Mercedes 5 cyl diesel and audi quattro drive' and 'engine not integrated into controls'. Sound like a parts coach to me. 500 scoots is a deal
for someone close enough to get it and with a place to put it. I can't think of anything Audi which would stand up under a 5 ton continuous load....
Wish it was in Buford.

No telling with Bethune's site - lots of stale listings.

Pretty sure I emailed them a year ago to let them know this coach:

http://www.bethunesales.com/listings/victorjohn.html

http://www.bethunesales.com/listings/victorjohn.html

Was then being offered up by the estate of the listed owner, for a fraction of the listed price. I heard it sold soon after for 3k.

So what is the condense...? Is Bethune sales to be avoided?

Dan, other than cost (does Bethune take a commission or fee?), I see no reason to avoid them as a seller. Bethune's site ranks well on the search
engines. As a buyer, it's an aggravating user experience but if you're looking in earnest you'll put up with it.

JimB's page moves a few coaches. And there's gmcmi.com/motorhomes-for-sale/

But other than club sites, I think ebay is bringing in the highest dollar. But coaches are going cheap, Dan. Be prepared for a reality check.

I 'think' he charges around $200 to list it...not positive !
A decent site to get it noticed and from there you can connect with the
owner for more info.

I have not had any dealings with them, other than a note to tell them the listing was out of date. Pretty frustrating for a buyer. As long as he
does not ask for cash up front, why not. I imagine he gets a few clicks.

The coach was also listed on http://www.gmcclassics.com/chatter/4sale.html, where the price was updated, and the sale reported.
http://www.gmcclassics.com/chatter/4sale_Sold.html - about a quarter of the way down it reports the sale for $2900 in April of 2013.

I don't know who owns this site. The web design is right out of 1998, but the information seems to be current, and that is what is really important.
The dates and prices on the sold site gives a pretty good view of the market.

Thank you, Joe. It is newer than '98. But not by much. :-)

Heh! I used to infuriate web designers by telling them that 1990's sites can get the job done.

I started to list that as a place to advertise, but it's a club site, right bdub? Might be worth it to join just to put the ad there, Dan. The page
ranks well in the search engines.

Heh, that's about the extent/time frame of my html...

The real work on the Internet is keeping the data fresh.

Thanks.
