As part of our new GMC owner "orientation", we paid a visit to Sandusky in September. (w/o the coach) They were kind enough to give us the full tour and discuss the repairs they had previously done. I suppose it was the "off" season, but they seemed a bit slow. They seem to think more people of my age (54) are doing their own repairs. Yep!

probably correct on us doing our own repairs, Dan and Russ.......
Mike @55-3/4 repairing/updating my GMC plus others for friends and/or customers......I can fit two GMCs in the shop but in nice weather I prefer to work outside.......then yes, I must admit to being a shade tree mechanic, and I am thankful to ALL of our suppliers for parts and info...............

So Mike, can we assume that you are in buisness to work on GMC coaches? I think if you are, we need to have you listed as such on the Black List.

only GMC repair when not at my "real job" in the automovive salvage industry.....time is my only restiction....I seem to have a fair amount of tools, working space, ability and knowledge?????..........I do a lot of Q-jets for all GM trucks and engine tuning projects that others do not want to tackle...
at the "real job" corporation, we have just began a lifetime warranty program on our recycled and reman drivetrain(eng, tra, etc) units....of course at extra cost on the initial purchase.........should be interesting to see how that goes.....
last time I looked I was on the blacklist but my cellphone number was incorrect......I need to fix that....also have a donor coach on site for parts....

Great. Always good to have someone who knows the GMC and can work on them. Wish you had been here today when I was changing my transmission lines. Tuff lining up those threads.
So, that is some warranty. Can you do that on a GMC engine and tranny?
