We have an opportunity to copy the posts from this group to a sub-forum on the gmcmotorhome.org website to innoculate it from Google's monetization, preserve it from Google's constant abandonments, and draw in new participants and participation. The new sub-forum will be a general EFI forum, but with this forum's posts as a foundation.

This group will remain as long as Google lets it and the owner doesn't delete it, but new posts here will not be reflected in the new group. If you prefer email, you can register at gmcmotorhome.org once the new forum is up and click 'watch',on the new fourm and it will send emails announcements of any new posts, but you'll have to register and go there to reply and continue the conversation.

There is a cost of $500.00 for copying the group, and since we can't find who used their gmail account to set up this group in the first place, we can only copy posts entered before March of 2023 when I did a 'takeout' of this Group. Google will no longer let 'owners' of this group do takeouts; only the originator of the Group can do that.

Bill, I believe that Ken Henderson created this group and asked and a couple of others to be moderators.

I concur with Terence, it was Ken Henderson who started the Google Group back 10 years or more ago.

Here is Ken's email from back in March of this year asking someone else to take over ownership.
Now that I've developed Parkinson's Disease and turned 87 years old, it's time for me to yield ownership of this group to someone else.  Every character that gets posted by me probably represents at least 3 key-strokes because I make so many errors which I must then correct.  I simply can't continue this way.  Anyone willing to take charge, please volunteer NOW.  If you're not already an "Owner" of the group, I'll TRY to figure out how to make you one.  :-)

Ken H.

Maybe Ken's son can get earlier emails from Ken's computer.

I'll send this onto Ken H.  If Ken is unable to do this, hopefully his Son can figure it out.

Thanks, Bruce...
If Ken was the person who used his gmail account to create the Google Group, someone would have to:
  • log into that Gmail account,
  • select the 'hamburger" at the top right,
  • scroll down to 'More from Google' and select,
  • scroll down a little and select 'Browse All Products.
  • then scroll down to 'Groups' at the bottom. The groups owned by Ken will appear.
  • Open up the EFI group and find the 'takeout' option under, I believe, 'Group Settings'.
  • Once there, all of the apps that hold Ken's information will be shown in a list
  • Uncheck everything in that list except fo rGroups.
  • Tell google to start the takeout process
  • Goggle will send a zip file to Ken's PC's Downloads directory.
  • Send a copy of the takeout file to Christo.
