Hi, I suspect there must be some dependency version changes while migrating to GMavenPlus. GMavenPlus doesn't run your tests and doesn't affect their runtime behavior. I think we should split your PR up, and take it one step at a time.

I've started a PR with just the GMavenPlus migration here: https://github.com/rest-assured/rest-assured/pull/1745. I'm running into some errors I haven't worked out yet.
