Just wondering whether anyone applied for Part Time MBA program at
UMD? I am placed on waitlist there with a GMAT score of 530 (44Q
20V).

Any suggestions on waitlist strategies?

The GMAT score is not the beginning and the end. Its also about your
experiences, what do have you done? Do you volunteer? Those kinds of
things can make a big difference.

I have a friend who I have passed your questions along to she helps
people to get in to university; I will let you know what she says.

I talked to the admission rep. and she suggested that i should
consider retaking the gmat. Other option i have is to wait till the
3rd round for the decision. I have a strong work exp. and
recommendation letter. I am planning on retaking gmat soon.

Whats the study plan? I have realized that solid study plan is must. I
need to work on my verbal score. After some research, i have bought
"Doing Grammer" for Sentence Correction, Powerscore LSAT Logical
Reasoning, Powerscore LSAT Reading Comprehension to tackle my CR and
RC.

Gosh Hina, I wish I could but I have work during the day on the weekdays.


My plan was to take a practice test in the morning and work on my
weakness in the afternoon form 12-4, I already know that I’m going to
need to work on verbal so I will do SC and RC.

I also work full time in nw dc area. So, if u all work in dc area, we can meet after work at some common place. What you all think. For quant, i have great material which really helped me. Weekend would be tough for me since i need some family time as well.
