[Gmat-developers] Is Visual Studio 2017 strictly required?

Hi all,

 

Does anyone know if it would be possible to build GMAT 2020a with Visual Studio 2019 Professional, and how it might fail? The build instructions still explicitly mention 2017 as a requirement. Is that out-of-date?

 

A build a colleague attempted with VS 2019 runs fine but is failing to find a dll when loading the Python API.  We haven’t yet identified the precise missing dll. (It seems that windows can sometimes report a missing dependency as the dll that depends on it.)
