The student residence where I´m staying has wireless internet, but
it´s kind of fickle, and wasn´t working when I last checked. So I´m
sending this from my old friend, the ubiquitous Internet cafe. My
class doesn´t start until August 7th, but I visited the school and it
looks like they put on some activities each weeknight (such as a bike
tour of Playa and a Mexican cooking lesson). Also, there are cool
shops and stuff around, and if you´re right on the beach, the breeze
does have somewhat of a cooling effect. (Actually, it does anytime
you´re in the shade, it´s just not at all noticeable when walking down
a street in the hot sun.)
But anyway, I promised this trip´s posts wouldn´t be as long or as
frequent as before, and I suspect that by keeping that promise some of
you may actually read all of them. So now I´m going to find something
to eat and then wander around a bit more. I´ll post again only when
something exciting happens or I have enough pictures to warrant
sending a batch of those to the other email address.

(Just sending them there as email attachments will be about the
