Copies to Sent Mail missing

Using v8 with local install. Sending works fine, and I receive "receipts" but nothing in Sent Mail.

Help?

Hello,

Are you by chance sending mails to yourself? There is some funny behavior in Google Apps Scripts when you send a message to yourself. You might try another address and verify that nothing is in your sent folder.

I think that's it. I tried an alternate account as you suggested, and the sent folder was populated as you might expect.

On my Gmail account I have an alternate email account under "Send mail as" settings. It was this email address I used for my testing. Even though Gmail doesn't retrieve mail from this address, having it set up to "send mail as" alone seems to be responsible for the missing sent mail entries.
