So I've had DelaySend installed for a couple of years, but only recently enabled Google's 2-Factor Authentication on my account. Suddenly, the script is failing to finish and I'm getting failure notifications via e-mail: "Authorization is required to perform that action." I uninstalled and re-installed the script, and still it's a no-go. Any way to make it work with 2FA?

Thanks.

Hello Stephan,

I have 2 step auth on my account and it seems to work ok. If you visit the permissions page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions) does DelaySend show up as something which has auth enabled?

Also for another data point, I wonder if another script which accesses your gmail account would work (https://developers.google.com/apps-script/articles/sending_emails)?

Hey Blair,

SO: I should've known better than to assume the script failure correct without actually testing it out. I scheduled myself an e-mail and it came anyway! 2FA activation most likely threw the script out of loop, but it works. One thing I just noticed is that scheduled e-mails put the sender's name in quotes vs. normally sent e-mails. Is there a way to rectify this right now?

Thanks again.

Hello Stephan,

Sorry about the late response.

The calculation of the email is done here (github). I don't see anywhere that and extra set of quotes is being added, so it might be a by-product of using Google Apps Scripts. If you have the time/interest you can test out using a Google Apps email sending tutorial (here).
